Privacy policy

This website is run by Determinds Solutions LLC (“Determinds”, “we”), a limited liability company registered in Egypt, with offices in Cairo and in Kansas City, MO, USA. We decide how the personal information collected through this site is used.

We handle personal data in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.

When you send a project inquiry through the form on our Contact page, we receive:

• your name, organization and email address
• your phone number, if you choose to give it
• your industry, what you are looking for and when, as you select them
• the description of the problem you write in the form

When you apply for a role, we receive whatever you email to careers@determinds.com, such as your CV, portfolio links and covering note.

If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, our analytics tools record the pages you visit, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. If you do not accept, they are not loaded.

We use inquiry details to reply to you, to scope the work you describe and to keep a record of our conversation. We use applications only to assess you for the role you applied for, or for a similar one if you agree.

We use analytics to understand which pages are read and how people find the site, so we can improve it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use what you send through our forms for advertising.

We process inquiry and application details because you ask us to — to reply to you and to take the steps you request before any contract — and, where the law requires it, with your consent. We run analytics only with your consent, which you give or refuse in our cookie banner and can withdraw at any time. We may also process data where we must do so to comply with the law.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Until you accept, we load no analytics and set no analytics cookies.

If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party cookies (named _ga) to tell visits apart, and Ahrefs Web Analytics, which is designed to measure visits without cookies. Google’s advertising features stay switched off either way.

We store your choice in one strictly necessary cookie, determinds_consent, for six months, after which we ask again. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page; withdrawing consent deletes the Google Analytics cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Refusing analytics does not affect how the site works.

We use service providers to run the site, and they process data on our behalf and under our instructions:

• our hosting provider, which serves the website
• MongoDB Atlas, which stores the site’s content and the inquiries sent through the form
• Cloudflare, which stores the site’s images and files
• Google and Ahrefs, which provide our analytics

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Our team works from Cairo, Egypt and Kansas City, MO, USA, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for transferring data abroad.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for. We keep inquiries while we respond to you and manage any work that follows. We keep applications while the hiring process for that role lasts and, if you agree, afterwards so that we can consider you for future roles, until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of each analytics tool.

We may keep information for longer where the law requires us to, or where we need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent you have given.

To make a request, email info@determinds.com. We will answer within the time the law applicable to you allows, and may ask you to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Only authenticated members of our team can reach the content management system where inquiries are stored, and we use providers that encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us over the internet, so please do not send confidential material through the inquiry form; we are glad to agree a non-disclosure agreement first.

This website is meant for businesses and job applicants. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

When we change this policy we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
